Legends of the Game

The Legends of the Game program was established in 2001 to honor outstanding basketball teams. Teams are honored in ceremonies at halftime of the 5A state basketball championship game. Team members receive commemorative medallions and plaques while their schools receive United Dairymen of Idaho championship banners.

Nominations for the 2017 Legends of the Game are due in the IHSAA Office by September 10. Nominations can be based on a variety of factors such as win-loss records, outstanding player/coach accomplishments, state championship won, etc. Boys basketball teams must be from at least 30 years ago and girls basketball teams must be from at least 20 years ago.

2018 Girls Legends of the Game
Moscow High School 1992-1994

Moscow High School’s girls’ basketball team is the sixteenth recipient of the IHSAA girls "Legends of the Game" award. Moscow won the state championship four out of five years during the early nineties, including a three-peat from ‘92 through ’94. Over this three-year period, the Bears earned an impressive 68-6 record. That string of successful seasons set the stage for future success at MHS and created a lasting legacy.
