The mission of the Idaho High School Activities Association is to coordinate, supervise, and direct interscholastic activities which enhance and protect the total educational process of all student participants. All activities programs shall be formulated to promote citizenship and the academic mission of the school.

Course Description of Fundamentals of Coaching Course

The NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Course provides a unique student-centered curriculum for interscholastic coaches, assisting them in creating a healthy and age-appropriate sport experience that supports the academic mission of the 18,500 schools from NFHS member associations.

This course will address the needs of our member state associations as an affordable, accessible and relevant educational experience. It is being designed to prepare interscholastic coaches for their roles in an educational setting. The course will take 4-6 hours online to complete and 4-8 hours in the blended option.

Unit 4 The Coach and Physical Conditioning
Unit 5 The Coach as Teacher

Course Description of First Aid for Coaches

Designed to help coaches, athletic trainers and other participants identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions in various sports environments, as well as recognize emergencies and make appropriate decisions for first-aid care. Meets first-aid requirements mandated for coaches and athletic trainers.
