Mainstream Media Credential Protocol for IHSAA State Tournaments

Members of the media (legitimate news gathering organizations) are required to follow the IHSAA tournament protocol in order to receive event privileges.

  IHSAA event credential can be obtained at the event sites Media/Pass gate


To obtain an event credential badge follow guidelines below:

  •      Present official, and up to date, ID/credential from legitimate newsgathering organization/affiliate.
  •      Sign-in at the Media/Pass gate.
       To obtain floor/deck/field credential wristband follow guidelines below:

  •      Show event credential badge to tournament manager or designee.
  •      Credential badge must be RETURNED to Media/Pass gate or tournament manager.
FAILURE TO RETURN CREDENTIAL MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF FUTURE PRIVILEGES.


High School Media Credential Protocol for IHSAA State Tournaments

Members of the school media (school newspaper/yearbook) and representatives for the school can be issued event credentials and must follow the tournament protocol in order to receive event privileges:


 IHSAA event credential badge can be obtained at the Media/Pass gate


To obtain an event credential badge follow guidelines below:

  •         A school administrator can only obtain event credential badge
  •      Administrator should sign-in at the Media/Pass gate.

To obtain floor/deck/field credential wristband follow guidelines below:

  •      Show event credential badge to tournament manager.
  •      Credential badge must be RETURNED to Media/Pass gate or tournament manager. 

FAILURE TO RETURN CREDENTIAL MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF FUTURE PRIVILEGES. 


Those who arrive at IHSAA State Tournaments without proper credentials will be required to purchase a ticket in order to enter the event and will not be granted media access. Members of the media must adhere to IHSAA staff and tournament managers or their credentials will be revoked.


BROADCASTING IHSAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

IHSAA Video Webcast Partner: NFHS Network

Exclusive video broadcast rights of State Play-In and IHSAA sponsored State Tournament events are contracted through the NFHS Network. Permission for cable operators, newspapers, radio stations, television stations or Internet sites in relation to video broadcast of State Play-In and IHSAA sponsored State Tournament events must be done by contacting NFHS Network. Credentials will not be granted to media not receiving clearance from the IHSAA through NFHS Network. 

IHSAA Audio Streaming Webcast Partner: IdahoSports.com
Exclusive audio streaming broadcast rights of State Play-In and IHSAA sponsored State Tournament events are contracted through IdahoSports.com. Permission for cable operators, newspapers, radio stations, television stations or Internet sites in relation to audio streaming webcast of State Play-In and IHSAA sponsored State Tournament events must be done by contacting Paul Kingsbury at IdahoSports.com.  Credentials will not be granted to media not receiving clearance from the IHSAA through IdahoSports.com.
 
Terrestrial radio broadcast requests need to be approved through the IHSAA Radio Broadcast Contract (below)
